August 20, 2006 (09:00) -Listen!
A nine minute self-contained piece conveying the flavors of protests in Boston and Washington D.C., primarily concerning Israel's war crimes against Lebanon, and US governmental and corporate media complicity. The Washington recording is of particularly high fidelity. You can hear some Christian Fundamentalists warning marchers of their impending damnation, and some of the nice folks associated with "Free Republic" types, calling Demonstrators "Terrorists."

The fact that corporate media utterly ignored this testimony of Former Abu Ghraib Commander, Brigadier General Janis Karpinsky and others is proof enough of their post-Vietnam complicy in modern administration war crimes, through inciting violence by means of intentional deception. Journalism's function in a Democracy is not to reinforce, but to challenge and to examine the claims of the establishment.
Karpinsky (and Lindy England) are the two women who've taken the fall for, and been used to divert our attention from the entire criminal program of torture and humiliation which Karpinsky says came right from the top. Claiming to believe in the Geneva Convention, Karpinsky explains how she was manipulated and scapegoated by superiors to advance their war crimes agenda. Testimony from Craig Murray, Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, reveals the plausible-deniability mechanism of CIA sponsored torture bent on obtaining false confessions.

Beirut resident Robert Fisk is one of the most respected Reporters on the Middle East. (therefore, of course, he's given no voice in the US) He is one of few surviving Middle-East Reporters neither 'imbedded' in, nor murdered by, the US military or its operatives. (Baghdad Palestine Hotel, machine-gunned Italian Reporter, etc.)
Robert Fisk shows us with stunning parallels to Rome, and then to Britain, that this has happened before. That each time, the invaders came to conquer, claiming to liberate. And that each time, the reigning empire suffered a humiliating defeat.

Though he's positive about the potential of American Imperialism, (The majority of my subjects are not.) this Author argues that it must be done correctly, and that it isn't. He spoke at Roslindale Neighbors for Peace about his newest book, The New American Militarism, How Americans are seduced by War.
November 17, 2005 -Listen!

October 18, 2005 -Listen!
Speaking at M.I.T. on a variety of issues, including the "Democratic deficit", and the nuclear arms race.
Rabbi Michael Lerner
Michael lerner spoke in Cambridge about his new book "The Left hand of God, ...Taking Our Country Back from the Religious Right"
Lerner’s thesis is that America is suffering from a spiritual crisis, which is both caused by, and articulated by the Right Wing, gaining undue credibility for the “primary articulator” of the problems it itself has caused. He criticizes the Left Wing for allowing this hypocrisy by it’s being ”not even in the relevant ballpark.”
This is among the finest of the lectures I have attended, and my editing of it is extensive, due to Lerner's enthusiastic speaking style. I enhanced this at a rate of nearly a thousand tweaks per hour. You will hear all the ideas, without the noise, gaps and goofs.
